Nicholas Herrera is a keen observer of life in El Rito and northern New Mexico.  He paints and sculpts what he sees and knows best. His work represents bold statements of conflict and culture. Many paintings portray the significant moments of the artist. The paintings are full of vibrant colors and most always include a great deal of activity.
