Nicholas Herrera does not limit himself to traditional folk art or santos.  Although his spirituality continues to influence his art, Nicholas welcomes opportunities to use new mediums and approach new life themes. 

In addition to the bultos (3-dimentional wood carvings), Nicholas has begun to create his artwork from aged metal and found objects.
